Mumbai, April 17 India has enough uranium to produce 10,000 MW of electricity, said Dr Anil Kakodkar, Chairman of Atomic Energy Commission.
On Friday, he was interacting with the media at a CII session on opportunities and challenges in developing nuclear power in the country.
Dr Kakodkar said that India is talking to Russia and Areva SA of France for additional supplies of the uranium. It could consider buying stakes in overseas uranium mines, he said.
Earlier while addressing the delegates at the session, Dr Kakodkar said that Indian corporations should read the fine print before entering into deals with foreign nuclear vendors. Indian companies need to works closely with the Department of Atomic Energy while partnering with global players, so that the India
