It was supposed to be a feather in the cap of the NDA government. But the Golden Quarilateral Project linking Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata with roads at an estimated cost of Rs 25,000 cr is yet to be completed. Construction of the 5846 km corridor which was supposed to be completed by December 2004, has been further delayed till December 2005.
