A billion people, a million cars. The birth of the billionth Indian citizen some years ago provoked consternation, but the sale of the millionth Indian car should, on the contrary, spur excitement. We have finally arrived. In the big league of Asian car markets, that is. Ahead of us are giants like China, South Korea and of course, Japan. We are still far behind them.
