When humans wreak havoc their future

Forests in south Kamrup, adjacent to Meghalaya border are quite well-known as a timber belt, specially of the valuable 'sal' variety of timber. Here profuse natural regeneration of 'sal' species takes place and the forests were having abundant 'sal' trees. But what indeed a matter of grave shock and concern is that almost the entire plantations of 'sal' and teak forests have been wiped out within the recent years.
