The Punjab Wildlife department has imposed complete ban over night hunting, and netting of birds and mammals to prevent extinction of rare species of wildlife in the province, with immediate effect. The department has also launched a massive drive against poachers to preserve the national wildlife wealth, and stop its indiscriminate hunting throughout the province.
