A wildfire that broke out in Shivalik Hills Forest areas in Jammu about five days back, has sounded alarming bells as failure to control it, could reduce the entire forest belt of Shivalik Hills right from Sidhra to Mansar into ashes. However, the swift action by the firemen saved Environmental Park near Mahamaya Mandir from catching the fire and as a precautionary measure one fire tender has been kept near the Park to meet any eventuality.
