JORHAT, May 17: The Department of Entomology, Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat, is organizing a national-level workshop on biological control of crop pests and weeds on May 29 and 30 at the University. This was informed by Dr A Basit, Principal Scientist, AICRP on bio-control and organizing secretary of the workshop. Dr Basit said that, 70 bio-control research workers from different Agricultural Universities and ICAR institutes had confirmed their participation in the workshop. The workshop is organized jointly by Assam Agricultural University and Project Directorate of Biological Control, Bangalore, and sponsored by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research. The workshop will be inaugurated by Dr BC Bhowmick, Vice-Chancellor of Assam Agricultural University.
