Workshop on vector borne diseases

Finance Minister Dayanand Narvekar said that the Government is committed to provide better health facilities in every nook and corner of the State. To achieve this goal the Government has initiated many steps. The Government's sincere efforts to control the malaria have proved fruitful to bring down the Malaria cases in the State. Narvekar was speaking at an Advocacy Workshop on Vector Borne Diseases organised by the Directorate of Health Services at Aldona Primary Health Centre, yesterday. Narvekar who was the chief guest for the function also launched the 'Rubella Vaccine' at the workshop. He further said effective mass campaign is required to control and arrest the spread of vector borne diseases and appealed to the people to cooperate with the Government Machinery to control these diseases. Narvekar commended the staff of the Directorate of Health Services for their sincere efforts towards the health of the people. Rubella Vaccination is for the girls of age from 10 to 19 years which was help to resist in born deformities in child during pregnancy of women. Deputy Director of the Health Services Dr Deepak Kabadi spoke about uses of Rubella Vaccine and its good result. Health Officer Dr Pradeep Dhavjekar welcomed the gathering while Nalini Chitari compered and later proposed the vote of thanks.
