Chief minister Sheila Dikshit admitted in the Delhi assembly that the Yamuna continued to remain dirty but once again blamed the multiplicity of agencies for the mess. She said that a Delhi government proposal to form a single agency responsible for the task of cleaning up the river was still pending with the Centre.
