The Haryana Government has set at rest rumours set afloat by vested interests that the plywood industry in Yamunanagar and saw mills in the State were being closed following a Supreme Court decision. State Principal Chief Conservator of Forests termed such rumours as misleading and aimed at harming the plywood industry, its allied units and also the farmers. He urged the farmers not to be swayed by such rumours. The farmers growing eucalyptus, poplar and other trees should not cut them unless they had attained maturity. He made it clear that the Apex Court had not directed closure of any licensed saw mills.
