Kochi's topography will soon be available in digital form. As part of the joint initiative of the National Remote Sensing Agency, (NRSA) Hyderabad, and the Town and Country Planning Organisation (TCPO) of the Central Government's Department of Urban Development to digitise the topographical features of important cities of the country, the aerial view of Kochi is being converted to digital form. The digitised map which is expected to be in a 1:50,000 scale will have an overall view of Kochi as well as sector-wise divisions. Experts expect the digital map to be of great help in the city's future planning initiatives.
