This issue brief reviews an analysis of African energy transitions and pinpoints critical questions need to answer to foster science-based policymaking to enable decisions informed by clear and objective country-specific analysis. This also helps debunk common myths about the energy transition in Africa and identifies gaps in the current knowledge that warrant further research.
