This document contains the presentation by Anand B. Rao, IIT- Mumbai at National climate research conference, IIT Delhi, March 5-6, 2010 on CO2 Capture and Storage (CCS), relevant for India. CO2 capture and storage (CCS) is receiving considerable attention as a potential greenhouse gas (GHG) mitigation option for fossil fuel power plants. The cost and performance of CCS are critical factors affecting its role in various applications. While CCS can significantly reduce power plant emissions of CO2 (typically by 85
