The Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) has been implementing a number of schemes for industrial as well as environmental pollution abatement under which financial assistance is provided to the State implementing agencies. These schemes are on-going in nature and include the following Centrally Sponsored/Central Sector Schemes: National River Conservation Plan (NRCP); National River Conservation Programme; National Lake Conservation Plan; and National Ganga River Basin Authority.
