The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is the world’s first comprehensive blueprint for sustainable development. Launched at the end of 2015, this Agenda frames health and well-being as both outcomes and foundations of social inclusion, poverty reduction and environmental protection. From a health perspective, development can be said to be “sustainable” when resources – natural and manufactured – are managed by and for all individuals in ways which support the health and well-being of present and future generations .
