Landslide in Tibet puts Arunachal on flood alert
Itanagar: Unprecedented flood looms large at East Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh following reported formation of an artificial reservoir at Tsangpo river in Tibet following a massive blockade due to a landslide on April 27. According to official sources, people in the district as well as in Jonai sub-division, under Dhemaji district of nearby Assam, were apprehending a flood in the area.

ADB promises $25.6m for flood-hit areas

Landslide destroys houses in Chitral
Landslide destroyed six houses in the Newazantek village of Booni on Thursday. Residents of Booni, some 75 kilometres in the north of here, told Dawn by telephone that the houses had already been evacuated when boulders started rolling down from the hill.
