July 11: Anti-Posco activists on Sunday held a massive rally at Balidhipa near Paradip and vowed not to allow the South Korean steel major to establish its proposed 12-million tonne steel plant in the area. They also burnt down copies of the recently announced special compensation package for the project-affected people.
Opponents of the proposed steel plant by South Korean major Posco today burnt copies of the new compensation package issued by the company and reaffirmed their resolve to continue the stir.
PARADIP: Giving the battle cry, Posco Pratirodha Sangram Samiti (PPSS) today organised a 'Maha Samelani' at Dhinkia to intensify antiPosco stir. Antiland acquisition leaders from the State and outside congregated in the village and vowed to step up the agitation till the shifting of the steel project.
