PANJIM: Over 5000 mining-dependent people under the banner Goa Mining Peoples’ Front (GMPF) are expected to lay siege on the Capital City on Tuesday and march from Kadamba Bus Terminus, protesting against suspension of mining operations and demanding immediate resumption of legal mining in Goa.
GMPF claims that the rally would be historic one with more than thousands participating in the rally that will culminate in a public meeting at Azad Maidan. MLAs from the mining belt along with other political leaders are likely to be present, Christopher Fonseca of GMPF informed.
