GUWAHATI: The flood situation continues to remain grim in the lower Assam’s Tihu revenue circle, Paschim Nalbari, Sarthebari and few other places as the Mora Pagaldia river’s water level showing no signs of receding.
To take stock of the flood situation, State Agriculture Minister Nilomoni Sen Deka, on the instruction of the Chief Minister, toured the flood hit areas in lower Assam. Sources said that embankment along the Mora Pagaldia river was breached at three places making more new areas under the Tihu revenue circle vulnerable to floods.
