Controlling "human hens"

Controlling NEW measures resisting women from selling human ova has been urged by the architect of Britain's human fertility, Baroness Warnock. Revelations about agencies paying upto us $1,500 for a single batch necessitated a legislation to put an end to this inhuman trade.

The administrative body responsible for licensing and regulating clinics, the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (11FEA), has expressed its inability to control individual dealings. It is reviewing its policy banning clinics from paying the donors.

The practice seems to be that clinics refer their clients to agencies"Selling eggs, bought from various donors. The agencies reportedly charge infertile parents preposterously - to register with them and buy eggs separately, This is precisely what Lady Warnock is opposing. According to her, eggs should be donated like blood.

The agencies, however, deny these allegations. They claim to serve humanity, by supplying infertile parents with eggs from single mothers, without making profits. HFEA will be meeting later this month to evaluate and resolve the issue.
