The package
Individuals in both Kumamoto and Niigata to get US $25,000 each as compensation from the two corporations;
Chisso to pay a total of US $46 million to five patients' groups to cover litigation and other costs;
Showa Denko to pay US $4 million to the Niigata patients' group and another US $2 million to the local government for rebuilding the economy.
