Shaky bones

David Michelson and his team from the National Institute of Mental Health, Bethesda, US , have found that clinical depression in women can lead to broken bones. They measured the bone-mineral density in 24 women suffering from major depression, or with a history of it, and compared it with that of healthy women of similar age, size, weight, menopausal status and race. The team found that the bone-mineral density was somewhat lower in all parts of the body
