According to reports

icebergs hit seafloor: Rapid global warming has caused Icebergs along the Antarctic Peninsula to break free and scour away all life forms along the seafloor, says a new study by the British Antarctic Survey. The report establishes for the first time the link between increased scouring and decline in winter sea ice. In the past, these icebergs were locked in place by winter sea ice for longer periods and were free to crash into the seabed only in the summer.
corals in the red: A third of the reef-building coral species are facing extinction, says the first global study by iucn to assess the extinction risks of corals. Climate change, development, overfishing and pollution are the big threats.
Transport the key sector: Cheaper public transport system should be made widely available in rural areas of Wales to eradicate poverty, said the Welsh Assembly government
