GUATEMALA
At least one person was killed and 27 others injured when a powerful earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale rocked central America in the second week of July. Power lines and houses were damaged. Tremors were also felt in Honduras, El Salvador and Belize but no major damage was reported in these countries.
