Resilient people, resilient planet: a future worth choosing
This report contains 56 recommendations to put sustainable development into practice and to mainstream it into economic policy as quickly as possible. It includes a call for governments and international organizations to increase the resources allocated to adaptation and disaster risk reduction and integrate resilience planning into their development budgets and strategies. The overall report contains six sections: The Panel’s vision; Progress towards sustainable development; Empowering people to make sustainable choices; Working towards a sustainable economy; Strengthening institutions; and Conclusion: A call for action.
