tripura is set to replace conventional fuel used by vehicles with compressed natural gas (cng). The move will make it the first among the seven northeastern states to introduce cng .

The Gas Authority India Limited (gail) will launch this mega project, worth Rs 13 crore, in the second week of June. Under the project, cng will be initially introduced in the state capital Agartala and other towns such as Udaipur and Dharmnagar will be covered in subsequent phases.
