An analysis of food security in the villages
This study is an attempt to study the issue of food security in 25 villages in three blocks in Nainital district, Uttarakhand. Further attempts have been made to study of penetration of various government schemes like PDS, ICDS, MDM, MNERGS, Annapoorna, and Antodaya in these villages. This study reveals the level of awareness about the government support schemes implemented in these areas. Also, it tells us about the benefits obtained by the households living in these villages.
