The Centre has approved nine schemes for Jharkhand under its accelerated urban water supply programme (AUWSP). Jhakhand had requested for the AUWSP schemes to be executed in fifteen of its towns.

Agartala, Oct 15: The Central Government has sanctioned Rs 665 Crore for water project in Agartala under Jawaharlal Nehru Urban Renewal Mission (JNURM) to ensure supply of safe drinking water.
