Pune The district rehabilitation office has begun the process of reaching a solution to rehabilitate those affected by Tata Dam constructed in 1900s. As the Maharashtra Resettlement of Projects Displaced Persons Act, 1976, is not applicable to them (the dam was constructed before the Act) a workable solution between displaced farmers and the company is being thought out.

PARADIP: Members of Posco Pratirodha Sangram Samiti today selected five persons who would discuss with the Revenue Divisional Commissioner (RDC) central range, regarding their demands related to Posco steel plant. However, Abhaya Sahoo has not been included in this team as he is not a resident of any of the panchayats that would be affected by the Posco project.
