Members of Kadar tribe to be relocated to Vazhachal The settlement of the Kadar tribe at Kuriyarkutty, 8 km inside the core area of Parambikulam Tiger Reserve, will now be shifted to Vazhachal as per the wishes of the majority of this primitive tribal group. The authorities had been trying to shift them for long but only 72 of the 78 families had agreed to the resettlement scheme. “Unless all the 78 families consented to the relocation, the project cannot be implemented,” said K.
