Haryana has submitted the complete transportation plan for increasing both rail and road connectivity besides recommendations for augmentation of power and upgradation of technical training institutes to the Central Government for accelerated development under the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC). Haryana Chief Secretary Dharam Vir discussed the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor Project with the Adviser to Union Department of Industrial Promotion and Policy, Ajay Dua. Mr.Dharam Vir said that the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor would immensely benefit Haryana in accelerating economic development of the State. Haryana, he said, had drawn detailed plans of connectivity both within the selected regions and hubs and from these regions to proposed dedicated rail freight corridor as well as the existing and planned passenger rail routes. Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Managing Director Rajeev Arora said that Haryana had constituted two committees for the monitoring of the progress of DMIC project.
