The Food and Agricultural Organisation has undertaken a project to provide more than 11,000 flood-affected farmers with seeds and fertilisers during the upcoming boro season, agriculture ministry sources said. The technical assistance project, Input Supply to Vulnerable Population under Initiatives on Soaring Food Price, approved by the agriculture ministry in September will cost Tk 3.45 crore and run until April 2009.
