FCAP and UAF jointly organising workshop on August 30

Federation of Chambers of Agriculture Pakistan (FCAP) and University of Agriculture, Faisalabad (UAF) are jointly organising a one day national workshop entitled "Food Security, Horticulture Export and Livestock Development" on Saturday (30th August) at 9.00 am in the New Senate Hall of the University.
Federal Finance Minister Syed Naveed Qamar will likely to be the chief guest on the occasion. Vice Chancellor UAF Professor Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan will deliver keynote address in inaugural session while welcome address would be delivered by Syed Qamar-uz-Zaman Shah, President FCAP. Chairman Irsa, GM Smeda and heads of other national organisations will participate in the workshop.
Syed Faqir Nusrat Hussain, Secretary FCAP while wrapping up the objectives of the workshop said that the workshop aims to find ways and means for enhancing of effectiveness of product activity, efficiency of human and institutional resources of Sindh, Punjab, NWFP, Balochistan, AJK, Fata and Fana in order to improve public service delivery system, more efficient demand oriented export and mobilisation of resources for uplifting of agriculture and to introduce new scenario and methodology and new institutional projects development of capacity and product and to improve the marketing system all over the country.
Meanwhile, Dr Kausar Abdullah Malik, Higher Education Commission distinguished national professor, ex-member Biosciences & Administration, Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC), ex-member Food & Agriculture Planning Commission, Government of Pakistan, ex-chairman Parc and Member Syndicate University of Agriculture, Faisalabad will deliver a lecture on "Food Security, Agriculture Research and Academia" on Thursday (28th August) at 11:00 am in the New Senate Hall of the University.
