The Paris-based World LP Gas Association (WLPGA) is organising three-day 21st World LP Gas Forum in Seoul, from September 24-26 with the theme of "LPG: clean energy for a low carbon world". "We are looking forward to our Seoul event and have introduced new initiatives to complement the theme this year," said James Rockall, Managing Director of the WLPGA. One of these is that the WLPGA will mitigate the carbon impact from the air travel of all Forum delegates through a partnership with Coolearth - an organisation working to counteract the climate change through the protection of endangered rain forest," says a message received on Saturday. The theme reflects the commitment of the LP Gas industry to help combat climate change. In addition to a session dedicated to "Combating Climate Change," the Forum will feature sessions on 'Global Outlook for LP Gas', 'Opportunities for LP Gas in Asia', 'Towards Operational Excellence', and 'Innovation for Change'. A High-Level roundtable of industry experts will also debate on competing in a high-price environment. For the second time ever, the Forum will feature a Global Technology Conference (GTC) that brings together 50 recognised experts within the LP Gas industry from across the globe. They will present in three parallel streams covering Global Autogas Developments, Operations Technology and Applications Innovation. The World LP Gas Forum conference and exhibition is recognised as the premium annual global event in the LP Gas industry, regularly attracting up to 700 attendees and hundreds of external visitors from more than 50 countries. The WLPGA is the authoritative voice of the global LP Gas industry representing all sectors of the industry. WLPGA's primary aim is to add value to the sector through driving premium demand for LP Gas, while promoting compliance to good business and safety practices.
