Chandigarh, September 4 Haryana State Cooperative Supply and Marketing Federation (Hafed) has introduced certified organic mustard oil in 500 ml pack, for Panchkula, Chandigarh and Delhi markets. Haryana Agriculture Minister Harmohinder Singh Chatha said initially it is available at Hafed retail outlet at Chandigarh and Hafed corporate office, Panchkula, Hafed office, Delhi and Hafed retail sale outlet,Taraori, Karnal district. Extracted out of mustard seed grown in certified organic farms in Haryana, Hafed organic mustard oil is available at a price of Rs 61 per bottle in 500 ml packs. Another organic product of Hafed already available is Hafed organic wheat in 25 kg bags, priced at Rs 525 per bag. With this launch, ever expanding product range of Hafed consumer products now includes, superior basmati rice, pusa basmati rice, sharbati rice, brown basmati rice, permal rice, premium sela rice, dubar rice, tibar rice, kachchi ghani mustard oil, refined soyabean oil, refined cottonseed oil, branded sugar, desi wheat, desi wheat atta, organic wheat and now organic mustard oil. During the first four months of the current financial year, sale of Hafed consumer products increased by more than 150 per cent. Hafed was the first organisation in the state topromote organic farming in an organised manner.
