Lifting of export ban on Pusa-1121 variety of rice
Grateful: Farmers presenting a bag of paddy to Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda to express their gratitude for his efforts in lifting the export ban on Pusa-1121 variety of rice (which they have now named as Hooda brand) in Chandigarh on Friday.
CHANDIGARH: Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda once again thanked the Centre on Friday for issuing a notification lifting the ban on export of Pusa-1121 variety of rice.
Addressing a large number of farmers who had come to his residence from various parts of Haryana and neighbouring Punjab to thank him for his efforts in getting the ban lifted, the Chief Minister expressed gratitude to UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar, Union Commerce and Industries Minister Kamal Nath and External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee for getting the needful done.
