There is no proper implementation of schemes for people's welfare as announced by the government. As a result several problems are raising their head. This year there has been a record purchase of wheat at the mandis on support price. However, the farmers who could not sell their wheat in the mandis had to sell the same to the cooperative societies. But, they could not get payment as yet. Dozens of farmers of Charkheda, Timarni are experiencing trouble. These farmers had sold 2 thousand quintal wheat at support price to a registered cooperative firm. There are many similar examples of farmers in the state where they are running from pillar to post to get their due. Similar condition is of Annapurna Yojna. The government's scheme of providing wheat at Rs 3 per kg and rice at Rs 4.50 per kg is not being implemented properly. In spite of strict attitude of Food Minister the news about the improper distribution is being heard now and then. Dispute is on in Palera of Chhatarpur about foodgrain distribution. A news about breaking lock of a godown of a society has come into light. Such developments create feeling of fear. Some days back an information came into light that Annapurna Yojna's wheat was being sold in the market in Obaidullahganj, Raisen. Fine flour is being made with this wheat. Annapurna Yojna's wheat is for the poor and if a little quantity of it is sold then it is crime towards humanity. The same situation is of health services. It is not being followed in the villages properly. For the implementation of government's schemes, the govt should crack the whip against the erring employees. Public welfare schemes should be implemented transparently and honestly. But it seems that the concerning officials and administrative squad have become negligent or they have no interest in the public work. The government should take these issues seriously so that the real beneficiaries avail benefits accrued to them.
