Razings required in corridor

A day before the review meeting for the under-construction Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) corridor, Times City took a drive from Moolchand to Delhi Gate only to find that the part of the corridor which has already been constructed as per the earlier design will have to be razed for trials to begin. After the Moolchand crossing, lane segregation has been completed till CGO complex in accordance with the design of Pilot A. A concrete median has been constructed in the middle of the road, segregating the bus lane on the right lane from space meant for other traffic. Abandoned bus stops stand unused in the middle of the road. Work on the cycle tracks and pedestrian footpaths is also in advanced stages. The Defence Colony flyover has also been taken over by PWD, who have cordoned off half the available road space for repairs. On the left carriageway
