I refer to the FPJ report about Bush blaming India for world's food shortage. Bush & Rice have accused India along with some other countries, of overconsuming the food products such as rice & wheat which has brought a shortage to the rest of the world. Mr. Bush, have you seen what is the consumption of food by Americans? On my various visits to America, I have found that on an average an American consumes or even wastes at least 10 times the food consumed by an average Indian. Then why blame India only? And what about the overconsumption of oil & oil products such as petrol ("gas' to the Americans) resulting in shortage of fuel to the rest of the world? And the pollution that it creates affecting the health of the rest of the world! I think it is high time when India & other rice producing countries form the "Rice Cartel' on the lines of OPEC whereby they can regulate the prices of rice the world over. Kumar B.
