SC Order In 1997 Had Asked Buses To Stay In Left Lane The changed Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) design, designated Pilot B, that's now being proposed between Moolchand and Delhi Gate, is in effect only a thinly veiled version of the existing pattern of traffic flow on all roads in the Capital. A Supreme Court order of 1997 pertaining to buses had directed road maintenance agencies to mark out dedicated lanes for buses on the extreme left of the road. Legally, all buses are supposed to ply only in the bus lane and can be prosecuted if they are found outside the space demarcated for them.
