CHENNAI: India and China can provide solutions to the energy resource problem by tapping solar and wind energy as alternative, said polar explorer Robert Swan here on Monday. Addressing an interactive session organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Mr. Swan said use of these alternative, renewable energy sources would help reduce pollution.

Jaipur: The Atomic Energy Regulatory Board (AERB) on Wednesday cleared the proposed Rajasthan Atomic Power Station Units 7 and 8. The two new reactors are to come up at the Rawatbhata Nuclear Power site in Rajasthan where six reactors of 1,180 MW are functioning, Nuclear Power Corp of India executive director Sudhinder Thakur said.
