Roads toward a low-carbon future
Even as automakers and suppliers struggle with the effects of a severe economic downturn, the global movement to reduce greenhouse gas emissions continues to gain momentum. This report is based on an 18-month research project into potential measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the use of passenger vehicles. It finds that, despite the growing number of cars on the road worldwide, the automotive industry has a significant opportunity to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the use of passenger vehicles, much of it using proven technologies.
