Rates of power from cane residue up 57% in Maha

India will set up five energy parks by 2032 to raise the generation of nuclear energy. "The selected sites for the energy parks are Haripur in West Bengal, Mithi Virdi in Gujarat, Jaitapur in Maharashtra, Kovvada in Andhra Pradesh and Kudamkulam in Tamil Nadu," chairman of Atomic Energy Commission and secretary, department of atomic energy, Srikumar Banerjee said.

CLP Power to invest $800 mn in renewable energy by December
Hong Kong-based CLP Group company CLP Power India Pvt Ltd will invest $800 million (over Rs 3,700 crore)to augment its power generation capacity from renewable resources to 650 Mw by the end of this year. Out of the total target, 346 Mw is under construction, while 104 Mw is operational. The company has also identified locations for building the remaining capacity.
